Damaged Ucluelet water line beyond repair and needs replacement

Ucluelet First Nation, B.C. – The severed water line to the Vancouver Island community that was believed damaged during the recent tsunami near Tonga is beyond repair and needs replacement. Staff will attempt to repurpose an existing underwater line with replacement parts scheduled to arrive on Monday. A state of emergency was declared for the community in the aftermath of the damage, and residents have been told not to use water other than to flush toilets. CTV News report | READ MORE
